My First Flight Experience

I dont remember when was the first time i travelled in train, but i vividly remember my first flight journey from mumbai on feb 11th 2010 a chill evening with me and my hubby flying to dubai, where our sweet nest was set.
As usual, I took the seat near the window! When the plane started speeding up on the runway, it was thrilling because I guess that was the first time I was on something so fast as that. Since it was a night flight, I was not able to see the sky, Obvious! But there was something we never figured out before the flight took off. When the plane took off, we saw little streaks of light cutting through the dark sky.
In my excitement I failed to realise that it was first flight experience only for me and not for my hubby yet I was expecting the same excitement from him.

We landed up at the airport quite early because my husband wanted me to introduce to the formalities there and make my journey very comfortable and unforgettable one. As I was hungry myself and my hubby darling had a samosa each at the airport, samosa was good but not the price  I was quite excited about the flight journey and at the same time started feeling quite nervous. Right from the time I was a kid, When I used to hear news about flight crashes, I would internally feel that I would never travel by flight. But over the course of years that disappeared and was replaced by the excitement of flight travel. But I guess some fear of the plane crashing still remained. So, after the plane taxied onto the runway and got into position to accelerate down the runway, I started feeling quite nervous and excited at the same time. The plane started accelerating and it was not at all smooth as it looks on TV. MY husband quickly understood my feeling and started speaking with me just to divert my attention.
Then the plane took off and I felt very relaxed, ufff!!

The rest of the flight was quite uneventful. I had never expected the jerk on landing. Felt little nervous at that moment, but then felt OK once the plane slowed down....Dubai was beautifully lit up and it was a wonderful sight for me from the plane as I was landing.

The food was quite good on the plane. My husband had already ordered for veggi food for us, so I didn’t have the trouble of selecting the menu…. Plus there ware individual entertainment units (LCD TV + remote) for each passenger. This was looking like an ultra luxury for me, as I was experiencing all this for the first time.

I totally enjoyed the trip more because I was with my husband….
Now when I recollect the experience, my fear and excitement, I end up laughing myself
