Karma is the silent force that weaves the fabric of our existence. Every thought, word, and action sends ripples into the universe, creating patterns that manifest as circumstances in our lives. We often believe that we make things happen, but in reality, we are merely responding to the karmic impressions we have accumulated over lifetimes. The law of karma is precise and impartial; it does not operate based on personal wishes but rather on the balance of our deeds. Our past actions set the stage for our present, and our present actions shape our future, yet the ultimate outcome is always in the hands of the divine.
When we understand that our role in our own life is minor, it brings a deep sense of surrender. This surrender is not about passivity or inaction but about aligning ourselves with the flow of the universe rather than resisting it. When we act with ego, we create unnecessary suffering, believing that we alone must carry the burden of our fate. But when we surrender to the wisdom of the universe, we realise that we are mere instruments through which life is expressing itself. This realisation liberates us from anxiety and attachment to results. We perform our duties, but we do not claim ownership of the outcomes. We strive, but we do not control. We act, but we do not force. The universal consciousness, the divine intelligence that governs all existence, is the true orchestrator of our destiny. Just as a river does not decide its course but flows where the land guides it, our lives move along the currents of our karma under the guidance of this supreme consciousness. This does not mean that we are powerless; rather, it means that our power lies in the purity of our intent and the sincerity of our actions. When we act selflessly, without attachment, and in alignment with dharma -the cosmic law — we create harmony. But when we act with selfish desires, we create further entanglements.
